Ulf Meyer (born in Berlin in 1970) has been an author and journalist specializing in architecture and urban planning since studying architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He has published numerous articles in daily newspapers, trade journals, and books in Germany and abroad, including in the FAZ and NZZ. He has worked at Shigeru Ban in Tokyo, ingenhoven architects in Düsseldorf, and the San Francisco Chronicle. Since 2008, he has held professorships and taught at colleges and universities in the U.S., Taiwan, and Germany. He is the author of "Tokyo Architecture" and the editor of "The Japanese in Architecture"
