Dr. Jürgen Riethmüller, born in Stuttgart in 1967, is an academic assistant at the Merz Akademie Stuttgart, University of Art, Design and Media, and holds a Master's degree in political science and history from the University of Stuttgart. 1999 doctorate in modern history on the beginnings of democratic thought in Germany under Prof Dr Axel Kuhn. Works as a freelance publicist (including four novels published under Pseydonym and numerous short stories in various literary journals), freelance journalist (articles for ZEIT, among others) and editor. From 2002 academic assistant to Prof Diedrich Diederichsen in the field of cultural studies, cultural history and text at the Merz Akademie (until today).
