Biologist and medical doctor, works as an odour researcher at the Ruhr University Bochum
Hanns Hatt has held the Chair of Cell Physiology at Ruhr University Bochum since 1992 and has been President of the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities since 2015. He studied biology, chemistry and human medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and works in the field of odour research. Hanns Hatt has received several awards for his research, including the Communicator Prize and the Robert Pfleger Research Prize in 2010.
