Lukas Buol is an architect and has been running the architectural bureau Buol & Zünd in Basel with his partner Marco Zünd since 1991. After an apprenticeship as a structural draughtsman, Lukas Buol studied architecture at the HTL engineering school in Muttenz from 1986 to 1989 and completed his doctorate under Klaus Vogt. He was a guest lecturer at the Basel School of Design. In 2000, he was admitted to the Association of Swiss Architects BSA. In his architectural work, he is interested in the extent to which proportions and wall openings can organise space and how the product idea can facilitate its use. In this respect, Lukas Buol likes to work in leaps and bounds between the disciplines of architecture, interior design, furniture and product design.

Martin Lachmann's 'patchwork career' led him to the field of acoustics via an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, a degree in electrical engineering and a long career as a sound engineer. In 1999 he founded the engineering office 'applied acoustics', which over the years has specialised in the processing of demanding acoustic projects.

Martin Lachmann is a member of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects SIA, the Swiss Society of Acoustics SGA, the Audio Engineering Society AES and the Institute of Acoustics IOA (UK). Together with his wife Joanna Zjadacz-Lachmann, he is a lecturer in acoustic design at the architecture department of Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and at the Chair of Design and Interior Design at TU Darmstadt.
