A_rch_I_tecture

Servant or conductor of future spatial design

Dates will be announced soon.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming architecture by autonomously generating images and floor plans. Yet, the creativity of architects remains indispensable.
AI can support architects, urban planners, and traffic engineers in developing new ideas, but creating executable construction plans remains a human task.

Although AI in planning and architecture is still in its early stages, it already contributes to visualisation and problem-solving. Experts agree that planners and architects are unlikely to be replaced by AI instead, it will serve as a powerful tool to enhance their work.

AI can generate variations of existing designs, but true innovation continues to be a human domain.

The conversation around AI also extends to urban design, distinguishing between weak AI (focused on computing power) and organic AI (modelled after the human brain).
Despite the potential risks of this technology, we aim to explore how AI influences spatial planning and design—along with the opportunities and challenges it presents.
