We have maintained a close and cooperative relationship with Blaser Architekten for almost two decades. In their role as architects and general planners, they played a key role in facilitating our smooth relocation to the Stücki Science Park building, which they constructed in 2008. Medartis not only has its headquarters in Kleinhüningen, where the development and marketing of new products takes centre stage, but millions of high-precision medical implants are also manufactured in this building complex every year. During this time, we have continuously invested in automation and in recent years have set up a modern training centre and a pure room. Medienmitteilung. Nach 20 Jahren an der Spitze des Stiftungsrates von Architektur Dialoge hat Christian W. Blaser sein Amt als Präsident weitergegeben. Mit dem Wechsel zu einem turnusmässigen Vorsitz innerhalb des Gremiums stellt sich die Stiftung organisatorisch neu auf – bei gleichzeitiger Weiterführung der etablierten Veranstaltungsreihen und mit Blick auf die zukünftige Entwicklung der Stiftung.
Aufgrund der laufenden Bauarbeiten in der Austrasse ist die Zufahrt zu unserem Büro derzeit erschwert. Die Durchfahrt zu unserem Büro ist dennoch möglich. Ebenso kann in unserem Innenhof (Austrasse 24) weiterhin parkiert werden.
Founded in the early 1930s in Arlesheim, Holle is one of Switzerland’s most traditional companies and is regarded as a pioneer in biodynamic baby and toddler food. As one of the first manufacturers worldwide, Holle received Demeter certification. We are supporting the relocation of the offices from Riehen to the Stücki site in Basel-Kleinhüningen and are responsible for the tenant fit-out of the new workspaces, including interior design and an exhibition on the company’s history. In collaboration with Dino Laprano, modern work environments are being created alongside an exhibition showcasing the company’s diverse range of food products, including baby food.

After 20 years at the helm of the Board of Trustees of Architektur Dialoge, Christian W. Blaser has passed on his role as President. With the transition to a rotating chairmanship within the board, the foundation is reorganising its structure while continuing its established event series and keeping a focus on its future development. As a non-profit organisation, the Swiss Sustainable Building Council (SGNI) is committed to promoting sustainability in the real estate industry and, among other activities, certifies buildings under the DGNB System Switzerland. At this year’s Swissbau, the Stücki Science Park was honoured with a Platinum certificate in the category of sustainable laboratory buildings.
As architects and general planners, we had the privilege of supporting the Stücki Science Park throughout all project phases and are delighted to receive this significant recognition. Even after completion, we continue to be actively involved on site and have been accompanying the development for many years with various tenant fit-out projects, including for Lonza and, most recently, for Holle Baby Food.

The topic of green roofs and biodiversity conservation in inner cities has gained increasing importance in recent years and is becoming a key component of sustainable urban planning. As an architectural practice, we regularly engage with this subject, for example through our work on the Stücki Park project on Hochbergstrasse. This provides good reason to take a closer look. In line with our credo “sharing experience,” we aim to gain deeper insights into why urban greening and bird conservation are so important and what role Basel plays in this context. We spoke with two experts, with the interviews presented in two parts.
