Mittlere Strasse is just a few minutes away from our office on Austrasse, in the middle of the Ring district. A few years ago, we had the opportunity to upgrade an existing property here and close a gap in the building stock with an extension. Around six years later, we were once again commissioned by the same client to renovate the directly adjacent apartment building from the 1970s.

Our work focused on the façade design, the windows and the roof terrace, which we adapted technically and visually to the requirements and needs of today. The partial opening of the floor plans now provides more light and a more spacious feeling. At the same time, the heating, sanitary and ventilation systems were modernized, and the apartments were given new fittings and surfaces that are characterized by discreet yet contemporary elegance.

We also carried out additional fire protection measures, redesigned the front garden and adapted the sewage system. The attractive top-floor apartments are a particular highlight: With their roof terraces and magnificent views over Basel, they offer a unique quality of living. High-quality oak floors, built-in wardrobes and fully renovated bathrooms round off the concept and create an inviting living atmosphere.
