In addition to the tenant fit-out for SIP (Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area – Main Campus), we also carried out similar works for the following tenants within the HORTUS building. The partition wall systems – particularly in combination with transfer fans and ceiling bulkheads – were used repeatedly across all tenant fit-outs.
On the first floor, we were commissioned with a tenant fit-out for Becton Dickinson AG. The company manufactures and distributes medical disposable products, device systems and reagents and is represented worldwide as a globally leading medical technology company.
Within the 263 m² area, workstations in an open-office layout were created alongside a separate meeting room. The black-lacquered solid wood profiles of this room deliberately contrast with the existing timber structure. Ceiling bulkheads with increased acoustic requirements complement the system and form the upper termination towards the timber beam ceiling.
The offices of Swiss AviationSoftware are located on the third and fourth floors of the building, where we also realised a tenant fit-out across a usable area of 4,000 m². To create a comfortable environment for the open-office workspaces, additional acoustic measures were implemented, including freestanding partitions, shelving panels and partial acoustic ceiling claddings installed beneath the beams. Curtains were also added to improve acoustics in the individual offices, meeting rooms and training spaces.
For the global pharmaceutical healthcare company Viatris, whose portfolio covers numerous therapeutic areas and includes branded medicines, generics, biosimilars and over-the-counter products, we equipped part of the first floor as well as the entire second floor with the timber-glass partition wall system to subdivide the leased areas into functional workspaces.
The supply and exhaust air for enclosed rooms is regulated via integrated transfer fans installed in walls or doors, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate. Larger meeting rooms are ventilated through standard duct systems and complemented by acoustically lined chilled ceilings. To further optimise room acoustics, wall-mounted acoustic panels were installed and, as in the previously mentioned project, acoustic ceiling claddings were partially mounted beneath the secondary beams.
