Podere La Cilera

The former farmhouse was built in 1650 within sight of the small southern Tuscan town of Civitella Marittima in the Maremma. The house has an almost square floor plan with two storeys and an attic with large roof glazing. Olive oil and wine are stored in the vaulted cellar as they always have been. The house is surrounded by olive groves.

The structure of the house was retained during the overall renovation. In combination with native plants, the outdoor spaces have become part of the house and local life. To the south of the house is the former farm building with stables (stabile), bread oven (forno) and drying building (seccaio), which will also be rebuilt in the next few years.
