In addition to the tenant fit-out for the SIP (Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area – Main Campus), we also carried out projects of a comparable scale for the following clients within the HORTUS building. The partition wall systems, particularly in conjunction with combined ventilators or ceiling soffits, were, for example, used repeatedly in all tenant fit-outs
On the first floor, we were commissioned to realise a tenant fit-out for Becton Dickinson AG. The company manufactures and distributes medical disposable products, device systems and reagents, and operates worldwide as a leading global medical technology company. Within the 263 m² area, the project comprised open-plan workspaces as well as a separate meeting room. Its black-lacquered solid wood profiles clearly distinguish themselves from the existing timber structure.
The offices of Swiss Aviation Software (Swiss AS) are located on the third and fourth floors of the building. Here, we also implemented a tenant fit-out across a usable floor area of 4,000 m². To enhance comfort in the open-plan workspaces, additional acoustic measures were introduced in the form of partition walls, shelving panels and, in some areas, acoustic ceiling installations beneath the beams. Curtains were also added to improve acoustics in individual offices, meeting rooms and training spaces. Spaces with a higher degree of enclosure, such as meeting rooms that serve as retreat and discussion areas, are constructed using a timber-and-glass partition wall system. This allows light to pass through and lends the spaces a contemporary character.
For the global pharmaceutical healthcare company Viatris, whose portfolio spans numerous therapeutic areas and includes branded medicines, generics, biosimilars and over-the-counter products, we equipped the leased areas in part of the first floor as well as the entire second floor with the same timber-and-glass partition wall system to structure the work areas. The supply and exhaust air for enclosed rooms is regulated via integrated combination fans within walls or doors, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate. Larger meeting rooms are ventilated using standard duct systems and supplemented with acoustically lined chilled ceilings. To further optimise room acoustics, wall-mounted acoustic panels were installed and, in line with the project described above, acoustic ceiling installations were added in selected areas beneath the secondary beams.
