Blaser Architekten were the architects responsible for the remodelling and tenant fit-out of the old stock exchange in Basel. MIAC AG (Medical Image Analysis Center), a clinical research organisation that works closely with the University of Basel and the University Hospital Basel, has now moved into the new premises on the first and first floors. The basic extension planned by Blaser Architekten provided for spatial adjustments to the existing structure. The toilet facilities on the 1st floor and in the gallery above were relocated to the access area in favour of contiguous office space. Existing offices were combined into open-plan offices and supplemented with focus rooms and a cafeteria. Within the existing glass tower, the offices of the CEO and his assistants as well as a personal meeting room were created by extending the podium and installing an all-glass wall.
