Spenglerpark Münchenstein

The redesigned Spenglerpark in Münchenstein presents itself as a complex ensemble of three interconnected buildings, buildings A, B and C. Connected by a spacious outdoor area, they house various companies, educational facilities and a restaurant. Due to the structure that has grown over the years and the associated construction measures of varying depth, a campus has been created that is defined by rationalisation, modernisation and upgrading in equal measure. Our task was now to tackle the refurbishment and tenant fit-out of buildings B and C as well as the orchestration of various measures such as logistics, adaptation to standards and environmental design of the entire ensemble.

Probably the most striking spatial interventions concern the inner courtyards in House B, the modernisation of the atrium and the passerelle. The two large, multi-storey inner courtyards now bring light into the deep industrial building structure of House B and serve as a green, covered recreation and meeting zone.

The representative light hall, which connects the two buildings B and C, was modernised and equipped with a shading system. It serves as one of the two main entrances to Spenglerpark and was given a highly visible address thanks to the redesign of the porch and canopy.

The passerelle was completely renovated and extended to create a more efficient and attractive connection between building A and building B.
